Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tom Emerson officiating. Burial will be in St. Stephens Lutheran Church Cemetery, with military rites. Visitaton will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

METROPOLIS, Ill. -- James Lloyd Weaver, age 62, of Metropolis passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at 3:57 a.m. at the Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.
Mr. Weaver was a member of the Eastland Baptist Church and an Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a maintenance supervisor at E.E.I.
James is survived by his wife, Virginia Sue Weaver; two daughters, Debra Harner and husband, Patrick, of Vienna and Tammy Van Echten and husband, Frank, of Riverside, Calif.; three sons, Mike Jacobs and wife, Kelly, of Metropolis, Kevin Cremeens of Vienna, and James Lloyd Weaver Jr. and wife, Amy, of Metropolis; one sister, Jean Weaver of Metropolis; one brother, Don Weaver and wife, Mary, of Metropolis; nine grandchildren; and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Elsie Dummeier Weaver, and two sisters, Betty and Jo Ann Weaver.
Funeral services will be Friday, Sept. 28, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Emerson officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Stephens Lutheran Church Cemetery. American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars will conduct military graveside rites.
Friends may call at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m.
