He died when I was almost 4 years old. I have no real memory of him but my Grandma Needham told me that when he died we walked over to his place through the woods to clean things up. A pair of his stiff rubber gloves were laying up on the mantle. I saw them and starting crying because I thought it was his hands. I wish I had other memories of him. I've been told he was quite a guy!
