Funeral services for Mrs. Betty F. Hicks Dollar, 75, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 8, 2003, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. Danny Warbington officiating and John Dollar, her grandson, assisting. Music will be directed by Tommy Kemp with special music from Lisa Gould. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden. Mrs. Dollar (Maw), a resident of Minden for 35 years, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 6, at her residence, after a lengthy illness. She was born June 20, 1928 in Point. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Minden. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis C. (Johnny) Dollar. She is survived by her three sons, Ronnie Dollar and wife Twyla, Randall Dollar and wife Raynette, and Rod Dollar and wife Janette; one daughter, Rhonda Wafford and husband Tony, all of Minden; three sisters, Ezell Bottoms of West Monroe, Sue Robinson of Jena, and Ann Sheffield of Cartersville, Ga.; several sisters and brothers-in-law; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; her church family; and many close friends and loved ones.
