my great great grandfather was Known as Wilbur, his first name was Thomas. he was a lather. He wrote poetry about the deaths of his family members, his mother and family reunions. He and his wife lived on Emerson street in South Bend for many years.

Wilbur Castle

Services for Wilbur Castle, 89, of 1020 Emerson Avenue, who died at 6:40 pm Tuesday in Memorial Hospital, will be at 10:30 am Friday in the Hollis Funeral Home. Elder B.V. Gildner of the Full Gospel Assembly Church, Mishawaka will officiate and the burial will be in the Highland Cemetery. A retired employee of the Studebaker Corporation . Mr Castle has been ill for about 5 years. Born in Miami County on May 6, 1874 he moved here 45 years ago from Rochester. He married Rosetta Norman in 1895. She survives with a daughter, Mrs. Lyle Jones of South Bend; six grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren, 3 great grandchildr en, and 3 sisters, Mrs. Ethel Emmons of South Bend, Mrs. Cynthia Ralston of New Buffalo, Mich., and Mrs. Ernest Bradbury of St Louis, MO. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
