Henry and Ida had six children. At least the first three were born in Polk County Missouri but the last one was born in Collins County, Texas on September 12, 1901. Therefore we know the family moved from Missouri to Texas some time between 1894 and 1901.
It appears they moved back to Oklahoma because Ida died in McIntosh County on July 1, 1904. The immediate cause of death was a fall from her horse when she was struck by a low hanging limb. Although she was only 34 years old she was already suffering from Polycystic Kidney Disease, which she had inherited from her mother. Three of Henry and Ida’s children would eventually die of PCK.
She was my great Grandmother.
