Dustyn Michael Reedy, 9, of McGaheysville, died Friday, May 21, 2004, in a fire at his home, 769 Ernests Lane in McGaheysville.
Dustyn was born Feb. 9, 1995, in Harrisonburg and was the son of Annie Bailey of Harrisonburg and Leonard Reedy Jr.
He lived all his life in McGaheysville and was a third-grader at McGaheysville Elementary School.
Besides his mother and father, he is survived by three brothers, Derek Rexrode of Mount Solon, Nicholas Rivercomb of Weyers Cave and Michael Smith of Harrisonburg; a sister, Brandy Rohrer of Dayton; his grandmother and step-grandfather, Anna and William Riggleman of Grottoes, and great grandmothers, Frances Morris of Shenandoah and Helen Hamrick of Harrisonburg.
His body will be cremated at the Lindsey Cremation Chapel in Harrisonburg and the family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
The Rev. Paul Laprovotte will conduct a graveside funeral 11 a.m. Friday in the Mount Zion Church of the Brethren Cemetery near Singers Glen.
