Ollie O. Schneck, age 88 of Greenville, passed away at 12:43 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2007, at Greenville Regional Hospital.

Ollie Overa, the daughter of the late George Arthur and Mary Ellen (Maroon) Cruthis, was born March 28, 1918 on the Cruthis farm, Sorento. She grew up near Sorento and attended the local schools.

Ollie helped on the family farm growing up, as well as doing housework. Ollie was the oldest of 4 girls, surviving are; Ruby Arndt, Opal Stiritz and Irene "Midge" Anderson.

Ollie was united in marriage to Arthur Henry Schneck on August 20, 1936 at the Court House in Greenville. They enjoyed 56 years of marriage before his passing on December 9, 1992.

They were blessed with 4 children, Alvin G. who passed away at birth, Allen Dean who passed away in 1940 at age 2, William D. Schneck and Wanda L. Blackburn.

Ollie was a loving grandmother to Rebekah Blackburn, James Allen Blackburn, Sarah Lee Elliott, William J. Schneck III and Randall C. Schneck. Great-grandmother to Nick Blackburn, Brittany Blackburn, Johnathon Elliott and Caitlynn Elliott.

She was preceded in death by Julianne Marie Schneck, her granddaughter.

Ollie is a member of the Utlaut Hospital Auxillary, V.F.W. Auxillary, Bond County Senior Citizens Center, and her church the First Baptist Church of Greenville.

Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church in Greenville with Rev. Charles Reed Officiating.

Interment was at the New Douglas Cemetery.
