Vincent J. Murringer passed away at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 8, 1972, at Mercy Hospital following a six month illness. Age 60 years, he was born in Clare, Michigan, on July 18, 1911, and had lived in Bay City for 55 years. He was married to the former Betty Schermerhorn, who survives him. Mr. Murringer, a World War II veteran , was employed as an oiler with the Martin Marietta Cement Company. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church; and United Cement, Lime & Gypsum Workers' Local No. 335. Besides his widow, Bettyy , he leaves a daughter and a son; Mrs. Bonnie Buzzard, and Glenn Carmichael, both of Bay City; two grandchildren; one sister; Mrs. Mary LaMorie of Bay City; and several nieces adn nephews. Funeral services will take place Saturday at 8:30 a.m., at the W. A. Trahan Funeral Chapel, and at 9 a.m., at St. Joseph Church. Rev. Joseph Rengers will officiate, and interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral chapel after 3 p.m. Friday. A prayer service will be conducted at 8 p.m., at the Trahan Chapel.
