Ronald Weller Hutchinson, 74, of Timberville, passed away Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, at his home.

He was born in Winchester on July 15, 1938, to the late Harvey Hutchinson and Edna Lambert Hoover.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was employed by Trans Carrier and Great Coastal Express as a truck driver. He received numerous safety awards over the years for safe driving. He was a member of the American Legion and the car club, The Pace Makers.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Jones Hutchinson; two sons, Richard Smith of Staunton, and Shannon Lam of Timberville; three daughters, Natasha "Puff" Lam of Timberville, Leslie Keck of Harrisonburg, and Tammy Clem of Harrisonburg; and 10 grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisonburg with the Rev. Danny Herring officiating. Burial will follow at Sangersville Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Sangersville.

The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
