Martha H. Fox, age 80, of Upper Deerfield Township died Monday, October 1, 2012 at the Hospice Care Inpatient Unit in Bridgeton following a ten month period of declining health. The wife of Harold H. Fox, Sr., she was born in Millville on September 14, 1932 to the late David Lore and Eva Brown Lore. She had been an Upper Deerfield Township resident since 1953 and had lived in Newport prior to that. Before her retirement in 2010, Mrs. Fox had been employed with Leonard Shields, Certified Public Accountant in Bridgeton for nearly 50 years followed by employment with the firm of Schalick, Gressman, Repice and Debellis.

She also spent many years working on the family farm. A graduate of the Bridgeton High School Class of 1950, she was a Brownie Troop Leader, Sunday School Teacher, Youth Group Leader and Bible Study Teacher along with being a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother and caring friend. She enjoyed cooking for her family, cake decorating, shopping trips to Lancaster, camping in Cape May and watching the Phillies. She and her husband Harold would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary this coming November.

In addition to her husband, she was both a mother and a friend to her three daughters, Patty Gaburo and husband Morris, Dianne Garrison and husband Roger and Suzanne Abdill and husband Edward; grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew, Sara and Nathan Garrison and Jordan, Jarred and Janna Gaburo; step grandchildren, Edward, Andrew and Shannon Abdill and many other family members and friends.

She was predeceased by her son, Harold H. Fox, Jr. in 2003 and her sister, Evelyn Springer.

Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Saturday, October 6th at 11 AM. Burial will take place at Friendship Finley Methodist Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Township. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM and on Saturday morning from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions in Mrs. Fox's memory be made to the Friendship Finley Cemetery Fund, c/o James Garton, 246 Center Road, Elmer, NJ 08318.
