Professional football player. He was famous for being a football player in the USA in the 1930's. He played left end for Fordham University and was part of the 1936 line known as the "Seven Blocks of Granite." The New York Giants recruited him, however, after graduating from college, he gave up that chance at a professional football career and instead had a long career as a high school football coach and Latin teacher at Xavier High School in New York.
