Track and field athlete. One of Sweden´s most renowned athletes of all time. 1941-1943 he was ranked #1 in the world, including all distances between 1500 m and 5000 m. 1941-1945 he held 16 world records, and won three Swedish Championships. In 1943 he made a US-tour, including 8 races, which he all won. 1945 he was suspended for life, accused of breaking the amateur-rules. He was awarded with 'Svenska Dagbladets Bragdmedalj' in 1942.
