He was born on August 14, 1933 in Potsdam to the late Joseph and Gertrude Saber Adams. He was a graduate of Potsdam Central School. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was stationed on the USS Ticonderoga. Upon his honorable discharge he returned home and in 1961 he was married to Annie Gertrude Maguire-Calnon. Mr. Adams worked at Reynolds Metals for over 37 years. He was a charter member of the Potsdam Moose Lodge and also a member of St. Mary's Church.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Gertrude, of Potsdam; his sons Bernard Adams Jr., Phil (Allison) Adams of Potsdam and Jim (Donna) Calnon of WA; a daughter Ann (Pete) Ciadella of AZ; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers Joseph, George, Ronald and Jim Adams and sisters Gertrude LaBaff, Anna Conklin, Catherine Saber and Dorothy Patel.
Burial was made in St. Mary's Cemetery in Potsdam.
