Bio

I'm a retired widower living in Williamson, Wayne County, New York, and a member of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church in Rochester, NY.

I have two grown children with families of their own and really enjoy when we're all able to get together.

I've been interested in genealogy for some time now. When my late wife was elected secretary for her family's annual reunion, we started trying to match up the names on the invitation list and figure out how they were related. We did quite a bit of research, but mostly for the sake of those who came to the reunions. We went back as far as we could, finding the first Dickinson arriving in the U.S. in 1844, and then started trying to gather up the descendants. With the family descendants dispersed around the country and neglecting to let us know of births, marriages, and deaths, it soon got to be more like trying to nail Jello to a tree.

I've now started delving into my family and believe I have found my paternal ggg-grandfather who was born in England (where else with a name like Marriott?).

Using "Brother's Keeper" for my software.
