I am Kevin Michael Handy. My mother parents were born in Pontiac and Flint, Michigan. I grew up in Lansing but was born in Flint and spent summers in the area. My father moved for his job and we remained there in Lansing where a sibling was born. My mother's people were all from the Genesee County area and my grandfather Handy's people were all from the areas around mid-Michigan. They were part of the Great Migration from New York to Michigan and probably arrived in the 1850's to 1870's. My interest is in families named Handy, Wood, Burlingame, Cain (O'Kane) (Irish and Manx), Stevens (Stephens)Palmer, St. Clair, Loveless.
