if you look at many of the memorials that i manage, you'll see that i try to cite sources for information on individuals, when/if it's not readily known from personal family histories. in my view, this becomes even more important the further back one goes.
the reason is simple: many many times, i've seen conflicting accounts pertaining to individuals and/or families. and i've seen these differing accounts propagate.
for this reason, i am happy to look at edit submissions, but please understand if i request sourcing. i am not trying to be difficult...just as accurate as possible. accordingly, when i submit edits don't be surprised if i also provide source(s).
