My name is Larry McKay. I started genealogy in 1999. In my first 20 minutes I discovered I was a Mayflower descendent. I have been hooked ever since. I soon found out all discoveries wouldn't be so easy. The main families I am researching are McKay, Sproull(Sproule), Belfry and Abbey and any families going up , down or sideways from them.

I have found after a year at Find A Grave my purpose has changed. At first it was to find as many of my ancestors as I could. But now I get more satisfaction out of connecting memorials,so my ancestors already on Find A Grave are connected to their families.

I find it sad when people just add names. They will have a husband and wife right next to each other and they don't connect them. Sometimes they remain disconnected for years. Granted it is helpful, since I like doing the research on the people.
