I became interested in my genealogy a few years ago. Unfortunately my parents have never been really interested in their roots and my grandparents have all passed away. Looking for some answers, I bought my son a DNA kit. He became extremely interested in my wife's contribution to his family tree ( they think that they are of European Royalty desint) but not to excited about the farmers and railroad workers on my side of the family but I was excited to finally get some answers.
I found some errors and a lot of blank spaces on Find A Grave. I've worked to resolve as many of the discrepancies as possible. In some cases there wasn't much for me to do. The heavy lifting had already been done by people like Gary White but in some cases I was starting from scratch.
I've been involved with a local cemetery in one form or another for over 20 years. I noticed the other day that the percentage of photographed Graves had fallen to 81%. I've made it my goal to get the percentage as close to 100% as possible.
