Bio
I have worked on my family's genealogy off and on for a little over 20 years. Only in the last few years have I spent a lot more time doing research and being much more diligent about finding source documentation for ancestors further back.
One project I have spent a lot of time on is cleaning up the online indexing of source references for individuals born, married, or buried particularly in Beberstedt, Germany (in the modern state of Thüringen) and in the Emsland area (of modern day state Niedersachsen--an area which used to be part of the Kingdom of Hannover).
German surnames (all Catholic):
Becker, Borgmann, Cramer, Genz, Höltershinken, Kaufhold, Klitz, Küpper, Otten, Pieper, Schilling, Schollmeyer, Schwering, Wolters
American colonial surnames:
Bidwell, Blair, Burhans, Cole, Haner, Shoemaker, Van Dyke
Scandinavian surnames (besides patronymics):
Kalveland/Kleveland, Lejon/Lyon, Meland/Melland, Nelson, Swanson, Worre
