Ellen B (Poteet) Douglass was the daughter of James Poteet and Edith Gore of Overton Co Tenn. She was the mother of James P. Edward Coe, Ingober Bell, Jonathan Brice, Mary E, and Anna Lee Douglass. She came to Carroll Co Ark in 1854 with her husband, John S Douglass and her two oldest children. One Child, sarah, had died earlier.
