Clement subsequently purchased three parcels of land, all in far western Franklin Township, near the Harrison County border (Township 3, Range 5):
1. 25 Jun 1807: SW quarter of Section 9, 160 acres
2. 11 May 1818: NE quarter of Section 15, 160 acres
3. 24 Sep 1821: W half of SW quarter of Sec. 14, 80 acres
The second and third parcels adjoined, and are located about 2 1/2 miles east of Lanesville, along the old New Albany-Corydon Turnpike (now State Scenic Highway 62).
Clement's residence was located on the first parcel. His children and grandchildren purchased parcels surrounding his, and the extended family continued to live in the area after Clement passed away. He was, at the time of his death, Postmaster for Nanceville, which office he ran out of his house near the present-day location of Nance Lane.
His farm was offered for sale by the executors of his estate in November of 1828. Nothing remains of the old farm, its orchard, horse-powered mill, or the family burial plot.
The Nance Farm parcel is now covered by forest and many individual home sites; all of it is private land.
