MICHAEL PLASKA "MIKOLA PLAKSA"

PLASKA--Michael Plaska, aged 80 of 2220 Paris Ave. SE, passed away Sunday afternoon in Butterworth Hospital. He is survived by four sons, Joseph, Walter, Edward and Ronald; five daughters, Misses Bernice and Clara Plaska, Mrs. John (Helen) Orloski, Mrs. Raymond (Francis) Dutkiewicz and Mrs. Thomas (Rita) Voss, all of Grand Rapids; 19 grandchildren and a sister in Poland. Funeral mass will be offered Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock in ST., Adalbert's Church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Mr. Plaska reposes at the Alt Mortuary, where St Hyacinth Aid Society where St. Adalbert's Rosary Society and friends will recite the rosary Tuesday evening at 7 o'clock.
St. Adalbert's Catholic War Veterans Post 1058 and Auxiliary will recite the Rosary, Tuesday evening at 7:30. The family will appreciate contributions to the American Cancer society.

PLASKA—Michael Plaska, 80, Here 61 years, Dies (PAGE 25)
Michael Plaska, 80 of 2220 Paris Ave. SE, retired furniture finisher, died Sunday at Butterworth Hospital after a long illness. A native of Poland, Mr. Plaska moved here in 1901. He was employed by the former Phoenix and Stickley Bros. furniture companies here and by John Widdicombe Co. at his retirement in 1936. He was a member of St. Adalbert's Church, its Aid and Rosary societies and St. Hyacinth Aid Society. He is survived by five daughters, Misses Bernice and Clara Plaska at home, Mrs. John Orloski, Mrs. Raymond Dutkiewicz and Mrs. Thomas Voss; four sons, Joseph, Walter, Edward and Ronald all of Grand Rapids, a sister in Poland and 19 grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at ST., Adalbert's Church. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. The body is at the Alt Mortuary. Persons wishing to pay tribute to Mr. Plaska do so in the form of contribution to the American Cancer society.
