Pfc. U.S. Marine Corps, {MC2359846}, Vietnam War-Pfc Osborne was killed in action by small arms fire during Operation Kentucky on 8-12-1968 on the road to Alpha 3 & Gio Linh while serving as a Rifleman {0311} with Co. K of the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marines, 3rd Marine Division. Pfc. Osborne started his tour of Vietnam on December 13, 1967.

He is the son of Mr. Joseph Osborne Sr., & Mrs. Betty Osborne of 1341 South Fairfield Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, and the husband of Mrs. Ruthie M. Osborne of 1305 South St. Louis Avenue, Chicago, and he enlisted with the Marines in Chicago on 6-29-1967.

Awards: Purple Heart Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal with One Service Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal.
