Lana Darcel Sawyer, age 59 of Flower Mound, Texas passed away on August 17, 2013. She was born April 1, 1954 in Fort Worth, TX to Fuqua and Dorothy Lovell. She graduated from Amon Carter-Riverside 1972. The devoted daughter grew up in Fort Worth, Texas part of a close family guided by Doc and Dottie Lovell. She married her high school sweetheart David Alan Proctor and started her lifelong dream of being a mother in 1979 with the birth of their daughter. David was taken from the family at an early age. Darcel went on to marry James Thomas Sawyer, Jr. on May 5, 1984 in Fort Worth. They expanded their family with the addition of another daughter, and a son, shortly thereafter. Career choices took the family to Mobile, Alabama, Atlanta, Georgia, Las Vegas, Nevada and back home to Texas in 1997 where she has since resided. Darcel has devoted over 25 years to Grainger and has developed many lifelong friends. Darcel loved to travel, cook, and spend time with her family. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends. Darcel's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood the impact and love she bestowed on everyone. Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, and best friend will be deeply missed. She is survived by her husband, 2 daughters and 1 son; a sister, and 2 brothers; 5 grandchildren; numerous extended family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, David Alan Proctor.
