Patrick Folliard was born in Ireland either Mayo or Roscommon County in 1866. He emigrated to the U.S. approximately 1888 and settled in in Brooklyn N.Y. In the 1892 and 1900 N.Y. census, his wife is listed as Annie. In 1902 he moved to Washington D.C. where he was a bartender. In his January 1905 obituary and death certificate his wife is listed as Nora Gannon. He was survived by four sons: Thomas Bernard Folliard, Robert Joseph Folliard, John David Folliard and Alphonsus Folliard. Four children died as infants: Thomas J., Joseph, Rose Marie and Regina. It is unclear if Annie and Nora were two different women. Further confusing the matter, baptismal records from St. Alphonsus Church in Brooklyn N.Y. list him as the father for Thomas, Robert, Regina, John and Alphonsus. Nora Gannon is the mother of the first four children but Annie Gannon as the mother only of Alphonsus. The only birth certificate found on the children was for Alphonsus and his father is listed a Patrick and mother as Annie McNally. The last born Regina, the only one born in D.C., parents are listed as Patrick and Nora Gannon. Regina who died as an infant is also buried in Mt. Olivet. John David Folliard is buried with her.
