A retired Lodi vineyardist Carl Allen, 90, of 740 S. Orange, died Monday night in a local hospital. He had been admitted to the hospital several weeks ago, following an automobile accident after which he complained of nose bleeds.
Allen moved to Lodi with his wife from his home state of Illinois. He retired in 1958.
He was a long time member of the I.O.O.F. of Woodbridge, Woodbridge Lodge F. and A.M. , Farm Bureau, The East-West Club, the Woodbridge Whist Club and the Klondike Club of Woodbridge.
He is survived by a son Gerald Allen; a sister, Mrs. Marie White; a niece; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
