Son of Osee Webster and Mercy Beckwith of Southington, Hartford, CT. "He was a mill-wright and removed with his family about 1819 and settled on the line between what are now [1915] Monroe and Orleans Counties, N.Y." (Webster's Mills, later known as Kendall Mills {F. Porter}) Webster (pp. 168-169) lists 15 children, all but the youngest born at "Big Bend" (later Northumberland), Saratoga, NY.
Christopher suggested the edit of Osee's given name, which is consistent with his monument, however, Osee often spelled his name "Ose", leaving off the second "e"- many of his descendants used the shorter spelling- Fred Porter
