Virgil Ray Weygandt Jr., 53, of Odessa, died Wednesday, March 20, 2002. Mr. Weygandt was born Dec. 27, 1948, in Kansas City, the son of Virgil Ray Weygandt Sr. and Alline Doris (Diles) Weygandt.
He graduated from East High School, Kansas City, in 1966.
He had worked for Yellow Freight in Kansas City sinced 1985. He also was employed at Minor's Sunfresh Grocery in Brookside.
He had lived at Lake Lafayette since 1985, after moving from Blue Springs.
His survivors include a son, Jason Weygandt, and his wife, Lori of Odessa, MO; a daughter, Angie Janes, and her husband, Joe of Lake Lafayette, MO; two sisters and their husbands, Rose and Vern Miyao of Lee's Summit, MO; and Sharon and Ted Sipes of Tulsa, OK; six grandchildren.
Friends may visit Saturday at the chapel. Funeral services will be Sunday, at the Ralph O. Jones Chapel in Odessa. Burial will be in Odessa Cemetery.
