When he was in Beaver Dam, Dodge Co. WI GIDEON HOW and his wife, MARY (JEFFERS) HOW, sold land located in Jefferson Co. NY to ISAAC HOW [probably his brother] of Rutland, Jefferson Co. NY on 11 Dec 1848.
GIDEON'S first wife died in Beaver Dam, Dodge Co. WI on 13 Feb 1856. He remarried on 04 Nov 1863 EUNICE (JEFFERS) RIORDAN SHEPHERD (his first wife's sister).
He died in a railroad accident in Watertown, NY on 16 June 1864 and is buried at the Black River Road cemetery in Watertown NY.
