STANTON, Sheridan Harry, 75, who resided at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Hargis Brown, of 118 Lackawana Road, died Friday at 8 p.m. apparently suffering a heart attack at the home of friends on Chantilly Lane. Born in White Rock, N.C., a son of the late Sol and Hester Tweed Stanton, he was a barber in Lexington, a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in World War I. He attended Berea College and was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Besides his daughter, survivors include: a daughter, Mrs. William McKenna, San Francisco, Calif.; three sons, Harry D. Stanton, Hollywood, Calif., Ralph G. Stanton, Lexington, and Arch H. Stanton, Louisville; a brother, Stanton, Marshall, S. C.; a sister, Mrs. John Knott, Knoxville, Tenn.; and 10 grandchildren. Services at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Kerr Brothers Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Wilhelm officiating. Burial will be in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home.
