Lucinda was born September 22, 1822 and probably died at a young age as she is not mentioned in her father’s 1852 Will. Her father named another daughter Lucinda Margaret who was born in 1846.

Rebecca passed away in 1832 and Joseph remarried Jane (nee Elder) the following year. They had six children together; Rebecca Jane (nee Grandey) Newton, Robert Munson, Susannah Eliza, Mary Ann, Joseph Chalmers, and Lucinda Margaret Grandey.

Alvin C. Grandy was killed in the Battle of Fair Oaks, Henrico County, Virginia, May 31, 1862.

The Will of Joseph Grandy Jr.
To all those whom this may concern I do
hereby declare this to be my last Will and
Testament, according to my desire.
1st, I give and bequeath to my wife Jane all
my real and personal during her natural life.
2ndly I give and bequeath to my son Robert after
the death of my wife all my real Estate which
shall then remain, By said Robert paying one
hundred dollars to be equally divided between
my four daughters and son - Rebecca Jane,
Susannah Eliza, Mary Ann, Lucinda Margaret and
my son Joseph C. Grandy each to share alike in
said hundred dollars.
3rdly I give and bequeath all my personal property
after the death of my wife to my four daughters
and son above mentioned to be equally divided
amongst them.
4thly I give and bequeath to my son Osmun one
hundred dollars to be paid out of the last note
which will become due from Mr. Robert Yeech.
I further direct that after my debts are paid
the remainder of the money in hands of said
Robert Yeech shall be equally divided between
the five above mentioned children.
5thly I do hereby direct and appoint my sons
Ashbel and Robert to act as my executors
of this my last will and testament.
