Wilma Mikes, 71, of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away Saturday, January. 10, 2009, at a local hospital.

She attended the Chattanooga Public Schools. She was a foster grandparent. She was a food service employee of the Chattanooga Public Schools at Brainerd High School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Jane and Charles Mikes Sr., brother, Robert Henry Mikes; nephew, Edward Lebron Mikes., and devoted companion, Ronald "Pinetop" Gay.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted and loving daughters, Angela Gail Mikes and Rhonda "K.K." Mikes; two grandchildren, Corey Lebron Mikes and Courtnee Mikes; two sisters, Jimmie Williams and Margie (David L.) Cook; two brothers, Charlie Mikes Jr. and Edward Lebron (Gwendolyn) Mikes Sr.; two devoted friends, Gloria Greer and Lottie Burress; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at noon Saturday, January. 17, at Trammell Chapel, Hardwick & Sons Funeral Home.

Internment will be at Forest Hills Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6 to 7 p.m. today at Trammell Chapel, Hardwick & Sons Funeral Home.
