LOUIS SCHIERMEIER DIES 5 DAYS AFTER BROTHER SUCCUMBS

Louis C. Schiermeier, 76-year-old retired shoe store proprietor, died at 8:40 o'clock last night in St. Elizabeth's Hospital, five days after the death his brother who had resided with him in his home at 805 East Garfield Street. He had been ill for two days.
Mr. Schiermeier conducted a shoe store at 302 East Main Street for 10 years, retiring 16 years ago. Previously he was a farmer.
He was born in St. Clair County on November 4, 1860, a son of the late William and Mary Schiermeier, nee Becker, natives of Germany. He married Ida Stein on September 27, 1883. She died on October 30, 1919.
He leaves three sons: Edward, Theodore and Walter Schiermeier, all of Belleville; four daughters: Mrs. Henry Juenger and Mrs. William Emery of Belleville; Mrs. Leonard Muhler of St. Louis and Mrs. Louise Leurig of Pekin, Ill., and 18 grandchildren.
Mr. Schiermeier was a member of the Lutheran Church.
