George Olsen was born in June 6, 1914 in Niagra, North Dakota. He was the son of Norwegian immigrants, Johannes Olsen and Karen Andersen. He had five siblings, Annette, Christian and Iver, who were born in Norway and Hazel and Elmer, who were born in North Dakota. The family moved to Helena MT around 1940. He enlisted in military during WWII on August 13, 1942. After the war he moved to Seattle, Washington. He worked at Boeing, an aeronautical company. He lived in Seattle until his death on April 1, 1978.
