The Anniston Star, dated 17 Feb 1950, indicates her death date as 16 Feb 1950. Her headstones show her birth year as 1884. Her obit shows her age as 68 which would make her birth year 1881, which is what my research shows.

Rites Tomorrow For Mrs. Gunter
Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Gunter, 68, of Talladega will be held tomorrow at 2 o'clock at the Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will be at Bethlehem Cemetery, Colonial in charge. Mrs. Gunter died at Talladega Citizens Hospital yesterday after an illness of several weeks.
She is survived by her husband, J. M. Gunter of Prince Ann, Md.; one daughter, Mrs. Cleo Elder of Talladega; one son, Lawson Gunter of Prince, Ann, Md.; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Dave Lackey and Mark Lackey of Munford; and six sisters, Mrs. J. A. Gurley of Ensley, Mrs. Ada Murphree of Bessemer, Mrs. Mattie Moore of Munford, Mrs. Emma Hopkins of Kentucky, Mrs. Dora Gaither of Oxford, Mrs. Carrie Pierce of Mississippi.
