Television writer and producer. Worked on several variety type shows including "The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour" (1971 to 1974) and "Van Dyke and Company" (1975 to 1977), earning four Primetime Emmy nominations between each show. He was a long-term producer and writer on the sitcom "Three's Company" (1977 to 1984), as well as it's spinoffs "The Ropers" (1979 to 1980) and "Three's a Crowd" (1984 to 1985).
