She married Ashford "Ash" J. Goins, the son of Franklin M. & Hannah Wheeler Goins, on May 18, 1895 in Stanford, Kentucky. The couple made their home in their native Garrard County. They were the parents of James, Henderson, Mary Jennie, Robert Lee, Ashford "Ash" J., Jr., Fountain "Fount", Albert, Nannie Belle, Lucille, Fannie Ethel, Pattie Mae, Gilbert and Edward Goins.
Mrs. Goins passed away, at home, from the effects of angina pectoris.

Ashford Goins and Miss Lula Long, of Garrard, drove over Saturday night and were married Myers House parlor by Judge Davison. It was not necessary for them to elope and they merely came here for the novelty of the thing.
