Mrs. Rachael Wish died of arteriosclerosis at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.E. Cook, on East Fairground Street, last night at 11 o'clock following an illness of eleven weeks.
Mrs. Wish was eighty five years of age, having been born August 22, 1832 in Westmoreland county, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. David McFarland. Her mother was formerly Mary Ann Ross, a direct descendant to Betsy Ross.
Mrs. Wish was twice married, Mr. Wish being her second husband. She had resided here fifty seven years and had been a member of the Central Christian Church twenty four years.
She leaves the daughter with whom she resided, a son Arthur Linn, and a daughter, Mrs. Florence Lawrence of Bowling Green Kentucky, and three sisters, Mrs. Jane Volentine of Wyoming, Mrs. Mary Ohler of Golden City, Missouri, and Mrs. Margaret Bruett of Los Angeles, California.
The funeral will be held from the Cook residence tomorrow at 10 a.m. Burial will be made in Marion Cemetery.
