Marietta (King) Briddick
JULY 26, 1937 ~ APRIL 23, 2018

Marietta Briddick, 80, resident of Eldorado passed away Monday, April 23, 2018 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. Marietta was born July 26, 1937 in Equality, Illinois to the late Halsie and Daisy (Morgan) King. In addition to her patents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Halsie Gene King. She married Robert “Bob” Briddick who survives.

She was a member of the First Christian Church. Marietta was active in her community and her church. She served on the Missions Committee, was a member of the “Prayer Band” a longtime member of the Bereans Sunday School Class, the Eldorado High School Class of 1955 Reunion Committee, and was a regular volunteer at Choisser Kitchen.

Marietta loved her Family, her Church and to Cook. She has authored two cookbooks; ‘The Joy of Sharing, Recipes from Marietta’s Kitchen” and “More Recipes from Marietta’s Kitchen, Homemade With Love”.

In addition to her husband Bob, she is survived by a daughter: Elizabeth Adams, a son: Steven (Christina) Briddick, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, sister-in-laws: Marilyn King, Mable and Gene Roberts, nieces and nephews, several great nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the First Christian Church in Eldorado, 1125 Walnut Street, with Rev. Dennis Robinson officiating. Visitation will be 4-7 pm Friday, April 27, 2018 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado, and 10-11 am at the First Christian Church on Saturday immediately prior to funeral services at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church Missions fund and will be accepted at the church and the funeral home.
