Actor. Born Norman Eugene "Clint" Walker, he is best known for his starring role as cowboy Cheyenne Bodie in the western series "Cheyenne" from 1955 to 1963. Walker was born in Hartford, Illinois, the son of Gladys Huldah and Paul Arnold Walker. He joined the United States Merchant Marine at the age of 17. He received his big break when cast in "The Ten Commandments." Walker's good looks and imposing physique helped him land the lead role in the TV series "Cheyenne." Walker had his biggest hit to date when he was cast in "The Dirty Dozen" (1967). Walker has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He received a Golden Boot Award in 1997. In 2004, he was inducted into the Hall of Great Western Performers at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He served in U.S. Merchant Marine during World War II.
