CONORT, GLADYS E. BITTLE REED, age 86, of Fultondale, AL, died February 5, 2006. She was a regular participant of the Friday night dances at the Senior Citizens Building in Gardendale, AL and a member of the Republic Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by three husbands, William P. Bittle, Garland L. Reed and August J. Conort; son, William E. Bittle; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include sons, Richard L. (Terri) Reed, Gary L. (Betty) Reed and Tommy E. (Angie) Reed; daughter, Louise Latham; 21 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 23 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, with burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens. Pastor Guy Moore officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Ridout's Gardendale Chapel directing.
