Actress. Best known for playing Rosario Salazar on "Will and Grace." Her fifty year acting career in film and television included guest appearances on the television series "The Outer Limits," "The Fugitive," "Dr. Kildare," "Gunsmoke," "Laredo, " "Home Improvement," and "My Name Is Earl." She appeared in films with Dick Van Dyke and Debbie Reynolds in "Divorce American Style" (1967), Dean Martin in "How to Save a Marriage and Ruin Your Life" (1968), and had small roles in "Funny Girl" (1968), and MacKenna's Gold" (1969). In 1967 she was cast as Sister Sixto, a Puerto Rican nun, in the the television series "The Flying Nun" with Sally Fields. She appeared in 56 episodes from 1967 to 1970 when the show ended. She was most notably known for playing Rosario Salazar, a maid from El Salvador who works for Megan Mulaney's character, Karen Walker, in the television series, "Will and Grace." She appeared in 68 episodes from 1999 to 2006. She received a TV Guide Award in 2006 for her work on "Will and Grace," and an Accolade Competition Award of Merit in 2014 for the feature documentary "Weaving the Past: Journey of Discovery." She was nominated six other times for her work on "Will and Grace" - a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series in 2002 and 2004, an Alma Award for Outstanding Actress in a Television Series in 2001, an Alma Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Television Series in 2002 and 2006, and a TV Land Awards for Favorite Made-For-TV Maid in 2006 and she was on "Shark Tale" (2004).
