Actress. She was best known to film viewers for her portrayal of Narcissa Malfoy in three Harry Potter films ("Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" parts 1 and 2). She went to Queenswood School near Hatfield, Hertfordshire, and then spent a year living in Italy. Upon her return to Britain, she began studying acting at the Drama Centre in London. She went on to perform in various theatrical productions throughout her career. In 1993, she made her television debut in the series "Full Stretch." She went on to appear in such series as "The Fragile Heart," "Trial & Retribution," "North Square," "The Jury," "Life," "Penny Dreadful," "Peaky Blinders," and "His Dark Materials." A year later, she made her "big screen" debut in the film "Uncovered." Besides the three Harry Potter films, she also appeared in such films as "The Count of Monte Cristo" (2002), "The Queen" (2006), and "Skyfall" (2012).
