Albert Lee "Buddy" Blagg, age 88 of Ozark, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018. He was born December 21, 1929 in Texarkana, Texas, the son of Jesse and Edna Blagg.
Buddy's career was with IBM and subsidiaries for over 30 years before working for Light Signatures Inc. in the 1980's. He early retired in 1987 to enjoy all the things he loved in life including traveling (especially to Maui each fall), playing golf and tennis, watching all sports on TV and serving on many boards and committees. He also worked as a volunteer for nine years at the courthouse in Ozark for a judge who became a lifelong friend. Buddy never saw active military duty but was proud and honored to have served several years with both Army and Navy reserve units.
Buddy is survived by: Jennifer, his wife of 41 years; daughters Katherine Blagg Niebur, Krissi Blagg Povah and Kerry Blagg Burns; his brothers Gene (Lynn) Blagg and Charles (Kay) Blagg; six grandsons; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Yes, quite a family!
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Edna, a sister Margaret Nix, and half-sister, Juanita Buck.
