She made her motion picture debut in the film "Thank Your Luck Stars" in 1943. She will be remembered by movie audiences for her role as Ruth Dakin Bailey in the classic picture "It's a Wonderful Life" (1946). Other film credits include "The Burning Cross" (1947), "A Double Life" (1947), "Black Eagle" (1948), and "Lucky Stiff" (1949). After marrying, she retired from acting and raised a family. She later served as president of The Patton Corp., an investment and real estate holding company in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
