My family has a book of our history and this is what I found out about Emma:
"Grandmother was Emma Boerner. She was from an old Milwaukee family. Her oldest brother was John Graf, founder of the Graf soda water company, and a story in his own right. Grandma was always ready for a good time and would still try to Cake Walk when her knees were so crippled with arthritis that she could hardly get out of a chair.
Rein and Emma (Graf) Boerner started married life in a flat over a butcher's shop (and I'm sure put up with a lot of doctor/butcher jokes)…."
I also want to note that Emma has other siblings which I cannot find on Find a Grave:

• Margaret
• Louise
• Heinrich
• George
