Joseph Comstock, 217 W.
Market St., husband of the
former Ethel Klingel, was
stricken fatally Monday at
his home.
Son of the late Elton and
Catherine Beagle Comstock,
he was born in Scranton and
was employed as a laborer by
the Lackawanna Railway Co.
prior to his retirement in
1968.
An Army veteran of the Ko-
rean Conflict, he was a
member of Providence
Memorial Post 5209, Veterans
of Foreign Wars, and the
Tauras Club of North
Scranton.
Other survivors are two
daughters, Mrs. Gae Valenti,
and Mrs. Lorraine Bachman,
this city; a sister; six
grandchildren, and one great-
grandchild and nieces and
nephews.
The funeral will be Thursday
at 11 a.m. from the Howard
J. Snowdon Funeral Home,
1810 Sanderson Ave.
The Rev. Harold Hatton,
pastor emeritus of Green
Ridge Primitive Methodist
Church, will officiate.
Interment, Dunmore
Cemetry. Viewing,
Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
