Punta Gorda, Dec. 2 - Mrs. Ada W. Perkins, 83, a life-long resident of Florida, died today in Charlotte Hospital from a stroke. She had been a resident of Punta Gorda for the past 25 years. Mrs. Perkins was born in Fort Ogden. She was an active member of the Punta Gorda Women's Club, First Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband, Laurence F. Perkins; a daughter, Mrs. David Alexander Wallace of Washington, D.C.; a son, Percival L. Perkins of Jacksonville; a sister, Mrs. J.F. Clark of Bradenton; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at the McClelland Funeral Home Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Fred Stinson of the First Methodist officiating. Burial will be in the Fort Ogden Cemetery. © The News-Press, Fort Myers, FL, 2 Dec 1956
