The death of Wm Turnbull, for many years a resident of this town, occurred April 20 at his home in Hammond after an illness of several days of pneumonia. Mr. Turnbull was born in the town of Antwerp near Oxbow 72 years ago and during a good share of his long life he had followed the occupation of farming, a quarter of a centruy of his life having been spent on the "Turnbull Farm" at this village. He is survived by five children, four sons, William Jr. and John of this village, Charles of Ogdensburg and Adam of Hammond, and one daughter, Mrs. M. Hammill of Brier Hill, besides two brothers, George of Macomb and James Turnbull of Gouverneur and one sister, Mrs. Wallace McKean also of Gouverneur. The funeral was held from the late hom Wednesday forenoon the Rev. D. A. Furguson officiating and burial was made in Riverview cemetery near this village.
