John Turnbull
John Turnbull, long a resident of Rossie, died Monday in Hammond at the age of 67.
Mr. Turnbull was born May 30, 1879 in Rossie, a son of William and Nancy Mullin Turnbull. He spent his early life in Rossie where he was educated in the publich schools.
In 1904, Mr. Turnbull married Miss Lela Bacon at Antwerp. Rev. William McGregor performed the ceremony. The couple resided in Rossie until about two years ago when Mr. Turnbull retired form dairy farming and they moved to Hammond.
Surviving him besides his wife are one son, Kenneth Turnbull, Rossie; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Sullivan, Gouverneur and Miss Eleanor Turnbull, Hammond; two brothers, William Turnbull, Rossie and Adam Turnbull, Hammond.
Funeral services for Mr. Turnbull will be held this afternoon from his late home in Hammond, with Rev. W. H. Campbell, pastor of the Presbyterian church officiating. Burial will be made in Riverside cemetery, Rossie.
